The Eurasian Conformity (EAC) Technical Regulations are a set of technical standards relating to the safety, quality and environmental compliance of products marketed or exported to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
The EAC Technical Regulations have been introduced to standardise the technical requirements for products marketed in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and to prove that they meet the safety, quality and environmental criteria.
The validity period of the EAC Certificate can vary depending on the type of product and the type of certificate. In general, the EAC Certificate can be valid for 1 to 5 years, after which a new certification is required.
For some products, the EAC Certificate may be valid for a shorter period, e.g. 1 year, or in some cases for a single order. In these cases, the manufacturer or importer will have to re-test the product and obtain a new EAC Certificate after the certificate’s expiry date.
For other products, the EAC Certificate may be valid for a longer period, up to 5 years. In such cases, the manufacturer must undergo annual periodic audits (audit inspection) to verify that the product continues to meet the requirements of the EAC Technical Regulation.
